Simulator debriefing for airlines and ATOs · in live training at Simnest Pilot Academy

Put the evidence into evidence‑based training.

Multimodal fusion for every simulator session: four views, crew voices and cockpit alerts on one clock, so instructors, crews and training leads review the same moment with the evidence in front of them.

What pilots say

As natural as looking back at your run after training.

The question that matters first is what pilots think of it.

“It helped us spot mistakes and determine what to work on for the next session.”

Read the full quote

“When debriefing a session, it is quite frequently the case that neither the instructor nor the student can recall a very specific event that happened in a busy situation, or recall a detailed sequence of events. In the context of an MCC, where students are sometimes exposed to professional SOPs for the first time and with only 9-10 sessions to master them, having a video of both students+cockpit, with audio, is an invaluable tool.”

Between sessions, pilots can talk their run through with Cecil, an AI voice guide that replays the moment and asks what they noticed. Cecil is named after Cecil Pashley, the Shoreham aviation pioneer whose name is on the road outside our office.

What Simvidence is, and is not

Evidence, not a verdict.

The moment, the context and the instructor’s judgement, in one place.

Multimodal fusion

FO, INS and CPT views, crew voice and aircraft alerts heard in the cockpit, fused on the same clock as the flight phases.

Confirmed by the instructor

AI cues stay suggestions until the instructor confirms them. Simvidence never grades anyone: it gives the instructor the evidence to support each pilot’s development.

Back to the source

Every cue, procedure and CBTA highlight opens the moment it came from.

FOINSCPTTOP

Four discreet views

The cameras emit no light visible to the naked eye.

1-3 hours on the simulator

Installation and calibration fit a normal overnight maintenance window.

No recertification

A line-replaceable capture kit that can be removed quickly if needed.

Nothing to wear, nothing to start

Capture starts with the simulator session.

Data and trust

The first question pilots ask is where their recordings go.

Offline by design

Runs without an internet connection, the language model prepared for each operator included.

Cloud only on request

Recordings go to cloud storage only if the operator asks for it.

Research without names

We hold no pilot names or email addresses. Research uses only large, anonymised samples.

Instructors · learning together

Same moment.
Every instructor.

The crew, the instructor and the training team look at the same second, not at three memories of it. Instructors learn from each other’s debriefs. Never a league table.

The instructor's panel while a moment is flagged: FLAG, the nine CBTA competencies, and NEG, NEU and POS.
The instructor’s panel: FLAG, the nine CBTA competencies, and NEG, NEU, POS.

One press, in the moment

FLAG marks the moment; recording carries on. Missed one? Mark it in review.

With its CBTA competency

Pick one or more of the nine competencies, or none. The time is kept either way.

Fifteen seconds earlier

The flag lands 15 seconds before the press, so the start is never cut.

What went well, too

NEG, NEU or POS describes the event you flagged, not the pilot.

Flags or not, Simvidence also highlights CBTA level-2 observable behaviours automatically, as suggestions for the instructor to review.

“What I particularly appreciate is that Simvidence supports instructors in their work rather than trying to replace their professional judgment.”

Who it serves

For everyone who shapes training.

One session, read by the people who help pilots develop, each with the view they need. Customised reports on request.

Airlines and ATOs

How training develops over weeks and training types: the picture behind your competency-based training and assessment (CBTA) and evidence-based training (EBT).

Instructors and coaches

The evidence behind every debrief point, and a draft to start from.

Human-factors specialists and psychologists

Observable behaviour over time, in its operational context. Never a diagnosis.

Founding operators

Founding status closes with the December 2027 delivery.

One operator a month from January 2027. Each delivery includes hardware, calibration, installation and a language model prepared for the operator. Operators delivered in 2027 join Simnest Group as founding operators.

Start with a 90-day proof of concept on one simulator, credited against your first year.

Carl August Wunderlich

The Wunderlich Project

Around a million readings gave medicine its 37 °C; larger samples have refined it since. Enough sessions will give aviation training its reference.

The more sessions, the better the sample. At 10,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000 simulator hours, across training phases and experience levels, the evidence becomes strong enough to define real industry standards, for airlines and ATOs, reinsurers and aviation authorities. Built from anonymised, aggregated sessions only. The instructor keeps the judgement.

  3. 03
    Real transparency in training

Training that can be seen, explained and improved, session by session.

Why self-assessment

Video self-review works

Clinicians who reviewed their own simulation on video improved their crisis skills.

Randomised trials in medical simulation, with gains matching an instructor-led debrief.

3 in 4

The typical self-assessing learner ends up more confident than 3 in 4 who don’t.

Effect size 0.73, medium to large. Four meta-analyses, 19 controlled studies, 2,305 learners.

Who builds Simvidence

Human factors expertise for aviation training teams.

Simvidence is developed and owned by AviatePro Services Ltd., a UK-based aviation human factors and AI interpretation company focused on pilot training, instructor usability and explainable analytics.

One of our founders, Krisztian Makai, has worked as an executive coach since 2013 and has focused almost exclusively on aviation professionals since 2016. Since 2024 the team has spent thousands of hours analysing simulator sessions, crew dynamics and multimodal human factors patterns, building interpretation and explainability layers for operational use.

AI should support instructors, not replace them.
